In the early days Anthologies were produced on the whim of individual editors, there was no official policy on how poems were selected or how often an Anthology was produced. By the end of 1982 Daphne Cowley put forward a proposal to adopt the Chester Poets rules they had developed over time, which was to select poems once annually from the previous years magazines. This was accepted and has become the Society standard ever since. |
